The company was established in 1970’s as a distribution company of shooting equipment. Eventually the business evolved to the manufacturing of ammunition, primers and shot shell cartridges. The family has been in the defense industry for 3 generations, manufacturing not only ammunition, but also military and law enforcement equipment as well as explosives .

The name Troy comes from the land in which the family was born in Western Anatolia, the famous city and region which was fought over in the Trojan War by Achilles and later sought out by Alexander the Great.
