Those involved in the discussion expressed a desire to create a match-grade cartridge from the ground up. It would be the first of its kind. Months later, Hornady released the 6.5 Creedmoor round. Since then, the cartridge has become wildly popular among long-distance target shooters and hunters worldwide. While performance varies depending on cartridge features, 6.5 Creedmoor bullets do not disappoint. With a 95-grain bullet, 6.5 Creedmoor delivers a muzzle velocity of 3,300 feet-per-second with 2,297 foot-pounds of energy. At 140 grains, the 6.5mm round has a muzzle velocity of 2,710 fps with 2,283 ft-lbs of energy. Using 6.5 Creedmoor for hunting purposes, the round is suitable for a variety of game including prairie dogs, coyotes, deer and even elk.

This ammunition is custom-grade from the factory, loaded to stringent specifications to guarantee proper ignition and provide consistent, match-winning, pinpoint accuracy, shot after shot.
