From African big game to the American Grizzly Bear, Hornady’s Dangerous Game ammunition provides the shooter an exceptional load with more energy transfer and lots of knockdown power. The Hornady Dangerous Game Expanding bullets feature a copper jacket and flat nose with a high antimony lead core. They are designed for controlled expansion and deep penetration and taking down the world’s toughest and biggest game animals. This ammunition is new production, non-corrosive, in boxer primed, reloadable brass cases.
The Hornady DGX Bonded (Dangerous Game eXpanding) bullets features a copper-clad steel jacket bonded to a lead core to provide limited, controlled expansion with deep penetration and high weight retention. Bonding the jacket to the core prevents separation from high-energy impact on tough material like bone, ensuring the bullet stays together for deep expansion. DGX Bonded bullets are built to the same profile as the corresponding DGS (Dangerous Game Solid) bullets but expand to 1Ā½ to 2 times their bullet diameter.
